Today is a minimum day, we get out of school at 1:15 p.m.

The ASB all-school Last Chance Dance will be held on Friday, May 25th from 4 – 6 pm and will feature games, food, a DJ, and more. This is our last chance to end the year with a bang! Permission slips are available at the Financial Office and online. Tickets are on sale for $4 at the Financial Office! You must have a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket.

Attention Writers and Artists! It’s time for us to publish our annual literary magazine, Espectro. This year’s theme is “Pop Culture”. Please submit your original artwork, photography, poetry, and/or fiction to Mrs. Huszar in B-3 no later than this Friday, May 18th.

Attention Standley Spectacular Talent show participants: There is a Mandatory talent show meeting and practice after school tomorrow. If you are unable to attend, please see Mrs. Juergens, Señora Prietto or Mrs.Lattimore.

Library News: All regular library books need to be returned by Monday, May 21st. Please bring back your books this week. Once again, the due date for library book is May 21st.

Attention Standley Running Club: We will be running after school today even though it is a minimum day!!! Show up for an amazingly fun workout!!!

Seahawk Sessions meet today. If your academic prep teacher is: Civerolo, Dohoney, Huszar, Magoffin, Ohlin, Resley, Rooney, or Schrager-Cole, go to the auditorium right after 3rd period. You will have second lunch all week. Again, if your academic prep teacher is: Civerolo, Dohoney, Huszar, Magoffin, Ohlin, Resley, Rooney, or Schrager-Cole, go to the auditorium for Seahawk Sessions right after 3rd period.

Congratulations again to the Standley girls soccer team for winning their third game of the season against Lewis Middle School. The girls team is still undefeated. Next week the Seahawks will face their toughest opponent of the season, Muirlands. Good luck girls.

Students please remember that cell phone use is not allowed at school. Phones should be turned off and put away. Phones will be confiscated if in use, and parents will have to come pick them up after the first offense.

Track Week concludes today. During first lunch, all qualifiers for the mile run, boys and girls from all three grade levels will compete in the Mile Run. If you have first lunch, please come down to support these amazing runners. Good Luck and congratulations to everyone for another great week of competition.

Track Week continues today with the 8th grade long jump, 7th grade high jump and 6th grade shot put. Also, during first lunch today, 6th graders will be competing in the 100 yard dash. Come out to watch if you have first lunch and good luck to all the qualifiers.

Attention East Coast Trip students! There are several chaperone meetings today, to go over important information before you leave this Saturday. Please listen carefully.
-If Mr. Markowitz is your chaperone and you did not meet this morning, you need to go to his classroom after school at 4:05 p.m.
-Students who have Mrs. Dohoney, or Mrs. Davis should have met at 8:30 a.m. in their classrooms.
-Students who have Mrs. Frank, Mrs. Huszar, Mrs. Rannikko, or Mr. Resley will meet during second lunch. If you do not have second lunch normally, please get a pass from your chaperone. If you have second lunch get your lunch, and go to the appropriate classroom.

Applications for students interested in taking Yearbook next year are available in room 303. The deadline is Friday, May 11th. Interviews will be held Tuesday, May 15th through Thursday May 17th. Join yearbook, have fun and make the memories count!

Circle of Friends meets today during lunch in room 311 and Faith Club meets today at first lunch in Room 608!
